Welcome to the SART Foundation of Comal County
SART stands for Sexual Assault Response Team and our mission is to serve the victims and families of sexual violence in Comal County through the compassionate local response of forensic medical professionals and advocates and to educate our community about sexual violence.
Ultimately, it is our belief that such services, particularly the forensic SANE exam, must be available locally, thus eliminating the need for victims and their families to travel outside of the County to obtain them. Making these services readily available assists not only the victim and families, but also local law enforcement and prosecutors committed to investigating and prosecuting offenders who commit acts of sexual violence.
